How to connect 2.4 GHz smart home devices to 360 WiFi

Some smart home devices, such as security cameras and doorbells, ask for a 2.4 GHz connection when connecting to WiFi. To do this, you can use the 360 WiFi app.

The 360 WiFi app is different from the Quantum Fiber account app, but uses the same sign-in.

Using the 360 WiFi app to connect smart devices

1. Select the Home icon to view your home screen.

2. Scroll down and select View all to see your full device list.

3. From the device list, find the phone or tablet you're using to connect your IoT devices. This will open a details screen. In the example screenshot, this is the Galaxy-S21-5G.

4. Tap IoT onboarding mode near the bottom of the screen. (Fun fact: IoT stands for Internet of Things.)

5. On the next screen (IoT onboarding mode), tap Enable.

6. Now your phone is in 2.4 GHz mode and you can connect any smart devices requiring that frequency.

  • Depending on the type of device, you will connect directly from it or using its companion app (like security systems and doorbells).
  • To complete each connection, find your network name in the list of available networks, then enter your WiFi password. These were created when your 360 WiFi pods were first set up.

Your mobile phone will stay in 2.4 GHz mode for 60 minutes. You will see a "We are waiting" message on the screen and a "Disable" button. If you finish connecting your devices before the hour is over, you can select Disable to return to 5 GHz mode right away. When you're finished, tap Done at the top to exit IoT onboarding mode.
