Change your 360 WiFi network name and password

If you need to update your WiFi network name (SSID) and/or password, it's easy through the Quantum Fiber 360 WiFi app. Just follow the steps below.

Do you have WiFi 7 pods?

If you see WiFi 7 Certified on the back of your 360 WiFi pods, we've got info just for you.

SSID is the technical term for your WiFi network. The security key is also called the WiFi password and it keeps your network secure, making sure that neighbors and others can't access it. These will be set up when your service is first installed. Your technician will show them to you, or you can find them in the 360 WiFi app (Adapt section) or the Quantum Fiber app.

The 360 WiFi app is different from the Quantum Fiber account app, but uses the same sign-in.

First, sign in to the 360 WiFi app. Open the main menu by tapping the three bars in the lower corner. Select Adapt from the Menu & Settings screen.

Changing the WiFi network name

On the Adapt screen, tap the pencil icon to the right of the current network name. 

 

On the Edit WiFi name screen, type in a new name for your WiFi network and tap Done in the top corner. Don't use any private information in your name, as this will be visible to anyone in your area.

Changing the WiFi password

From the Adapt screen, tap New home password beneath the network info. On the next screen, type in a new password and tap Update to save.

What else do I need to know?

  • You can edit your network name and password at the same time, or just one of them.

  • When you change your password and/or network name, you need to reconnect all devices to the network.

  • The strongest passwords are at least 8 characters in length and include a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, symbols, and numbers.
