Setting up a unique, strong password is an important step in securing your home WiFi network. You may want to update it periodically to keep your network secure.
On a WiFi-enabled modem, you can change your WiFi password in one of two ways:

1. From the app dashboard, scroll down to the Network information section. In the list of networks, tap on the network name to open the edit screen.
2. On the Edit Network screen, enter your chosen Network name and/or Network password. Verify the password by entering it again.
3. Tap Done, then Continue to confirm that you want to save and apply the new credentials. This will cause your connected devices to disconnect from your network, and you will need to manually reconnect them.
Reminder: Reconnect your devices!
Whichever way you choose to update your WiFi password, you'll need to reconnect your devices once the change is applied. This includes smartphones and tablets, computers, gaming systems, streaming devices... everything!
Most people prefer to use the app with the instructions above, but if you want, you can also change your WiFi network details through the modem's user settings. Here's how:
1. On a device that is connected to your home network, open a browser and go to http://192.168.0.1.
2. Sign in to the user settings ("Modem GUI") using the Admin Username and Admin Password printed on your modem sticker.
3. Select Wireless Setup in the main menu.
4. Select Wireless Security in the left side menu.
5. Select the option to Use custom security key and enter your desired password. Enter it again to confirm.
6. Select Apply to save your changes. You can now sign out of the modem user settings or close that tab.
